After studying art at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Hong Soun(b.1959) has continued to work based in Seoul and Europe, with recent solo exhibitions at Savina Museum(Seoul, 2022), Johyun Gallery(Busan, 2020), Mabini Gallery(Philippines, 2018), and Zimmermann Kratochwill Gallery(Graz, Austria, 2016). He has also participated in group exhibitions of leading art museums and galleries, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Seoul, 2022), Daegu Art Museum (Daegu, 2020), Seoul Museum of Art(Seoul, 2018), and Abbaye St-Andre Centre d’art contemporain(Maymak, France, 2016). He was awarded the 1st Hoban Art Prize in 2023, the 17th Lee In-sung Art Prize in 2016, and the 2015 Jeon Hyuk-rim Art Prize. His works are in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul Museum of Art, Gyeonggi-do Museum of Art, Hoam Museum of Art, École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and the Supreme Court.

홍순명(b.1959)은 파리 에꼴 데 보자르에서 미술을 공부한 뒤 서울과 유럽을 기반으로 작업을 이어오며 최근 사비나 미술관(서울, 2022), 조현화랑(부산, 2020), 마비니 갤러리(필리핀, 2018), 짐머만 크라토츠빌 갤러리(그라츠, 오스트리아, 2016) 등에서 개인전을 가졌다. 이 외에도 국립현대미술관(서울, 2022), 대구미술관(대구, 2020), 서울시립미술관(서울, 2018), 아베이에 생 앙드레 현대미술관(메이막, 프랑스, 2016) 등 유수의 미술관과 갤러리의 그룹전에 참여하였다. 작가는 2023 제1회 호반미술상, 2016 제17회 이인성 미술상, 2015 전혁림 미술상을 수상하였다. 그의 작품은 국립현대미술관, 서울시립미술관, 경기도미술관, 호암미술관, 파리국립미술학교, 대법원 등에 소장되어 있다.
